BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Lifeway Christian Resources welcomed Andrea Lennon as director of women’s ministry on Sept. 23. Lennon previously served for 10 years as the women’s ministry specialist for the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC).
Lennon is known as a committed Bible teacher whose life calling is to “teach women to know the truth, live the truth and share the truth.”
A 2004 graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Andrea has published books and Bible studies. She is the founder of Andrea Lennon Ministry. Before beginning at Lifeway, the ministry offered live events, True Vine Publishing products and the Girl on the Go Community.
Starting her new role, Lennon shared, “I’ve always considered myself a Lifeway woman. Lifeway’s products and resources have met me at that crossroad of faith so many times, helping me trust God, let go of control and grow spiritually.
“This is such a full-circle moment for me as I now am able to step in and give leadership and direction back to Lifeway Women,” Lennon added. “I can’t count all the ways Lifeway Women have poured into me.”
Andrea is a member of First Baptist Church, Conway, Arkansas. She’s committed to her local church and said she hopes to bring that commitment into her new role.
“I’m also focused on healthy church growth and creating healthy avenues for women to connect with the Lord, emphasizing the importance of being a part of a church community,” she said.
As she assumes her new role, her goals for Lifeway Women are to continue what she said is the excellent work handed down from Becky Loyd, former director of Lifeway Women and now vice president of go-to-market strategy, and the entire Lifeway Women team.
Lennon shared she will seek to ensure everything Lifeway Women is doing points women to the Lord, His Word and the local church.
Loyd, whose new role includes women’s leadership development, expressed her excitement for Lennon’s arrival at Lifeway.
“Andrea’s ministry has proven she has a heart to see women grow in their faith,” Loyd said. “We’ve prayed for the woman who would fill this role for a while now, and I’m convinced the Lord sent Andrea to us. I am excited to see her assume this position and hopeful about the future of Lifeway Women under her leadership.”
Lennon and her husband Jay have been married for 28 years. She is a mom of two adult sons in their 20s, Jake (recently married to Lauren) and Andrew (recently married to Chloe). The family resides in Conway, Arkansas.
